Enjoyed

This week has been very...interesting. But now that it is almost over with and I get to go home to my nice quiet house...I think back, and although I have had my moments...I have enjoyed being a mom this week. I haven't quite enjoyed getting up at 6:30am to get kids to school, but it has been fun doing homework with them. It is really fun to see Michael come home from school excited because he got something at school, or how cute it is to hear him tell me that I am doing his homework wrong. The older kids I think have enjoyed having Matt around...not so much me, but I am ok with that. I have certainly had my hands full with miss Rylee. She is so cute and I love her to death...but she is a total DRAMA QUEEN. All you have to do is say a word and she says "OW, that hurt my feelings." So you can only imagine when she actually gets hurt. We hear about it for 3 hours. Scott was a big help today though and has had her most of the evening. All in all the kids have been pretty good. They were very polite in telling me that they didn't like my chicken with noodles that I made for dinner, and then I cried, and they all came in and said it just wasn't their favorite, which I actually believe because I know I am not the best cook, Steph's kids have never told me they didn't like my cooking!! I love the kids, and I'm sure although I will have Aidyn next year, we will do it again!! At least I have a whole year to prepare myself. But as for now...I am excited to go home tomorrow!!

Learned/ New baby pics!!

So here Matt and I sit...again, watching Steph's kids. Every year I tell myself that I can handle it and I won't learn anything new, and every year I leave feeling overwhelmed and like I am the dumbest person alive. We have only been here since Monday afternoon, and already I am learning. Here we are Monday night...thinking it won't be too bad, after all, we've done this before. Well, throw into the 5 children an additional child that I babysit, a 4 month old that is teething and is very fussy. Let's just say, not a good night. The baby was here until about 2:30 in the morning, and didn't sleep much because I have the sweetest little 3 year old niece that felt like I needed extra help keeping the baby awake by yelling as loud as she can "I don't want you, I want my mom. When is my mom coming home." I know...very sweet. So I finally bribed her with Alvin and the chipmunks and she fell asleep, so I thought I would catch some sleep too. WRONG!!!! Oh well, baby went home, and I got about 3 hours of sleep.

Woke up, took kids to school, thought I had been hit by a truck...and then my day(now Tuesday) gets better because I get to see this!!!

and this....

So cute. And totally made my day better, except for the fact that he wouldn't cooperate and let us get a good picture of his face. But we think he totally has my nose and lips. I asked for a cute shot of his hands too, but he was making fists and pouting!!

Got home, did homework with the kids, made dinner, and then my sweet husband let me go to bed at 8 and put all the kids to bed without my help...well, actually when I got up at 10, there was still an older child awake, but for the most part he did good!!
Love me when I least deserve it, because that's when I really need it.

Forever, for always, and no matter what.
